Ryan Paetzold - Creative Director

Ryan is a Dublin based designer who loves to ride his bike - a proverbial child who can’t get enough of his or any bicycle for that matter, even convinced his wife that they (bicycles) are marvels of the modern age and there’s always room for one more.

Having an insatiable fetish for bicycles he’s tried triathlons, mountain bike and road racing and recently tour riding, added to the mix a unicycle which he’s have yet to perfect. Originally from South Africa, relocated to ‘tropical’ Ireland in 2008, as a freelance 3D digital designer. Ryan holds a degree in Industrial design and 3D design which pay the bills when he should really be out playing in the ‘garden.

In his own words: How I got involved in Chile to Kili: I met Elvis in the January of 2011 shortly before we set off on a 4 month trasn-Africa bicycle expedition. Elvis was one of the support crew for TDA (Tour d’Afrique) the ‘tour company’ who was to support us on this epic trip.

As the months and miles passed got to know Elvis a whole heap, spending some quality time cycling alongside him at various stages of the trip and when asked to get in volved in this project - leapt onboard. Elvis is a quiet chap with much to offer if you’re willing to take the time listen, versed in several languages, and a wealth of environmental knowledge. Now embarking on his own mammoth epic. I’ve joined the team to support him and his endeavour by contributing to this project with my set of skills.
